Miss International Foreigner in Japan ‘09

This season’s much talked about pageant, the 5th Miss International Foreigner in Japan was held at the Gyotoku Cultural I & I last February 22 with twenty of the most beautiful candidates from five different countries, the Philippines, Thailand, Nepal, India and Kazakhstan.

The stunning contestants first appear on stage in their sports wear and individually introduced themselves. Then they appeared in their respective national costumes and were given the chance to answer in the Q&A portion. They later came in evening dress after which nine were chosen and declared winners of the coveted titles.

Miss International Foreigner in Japan 2009 was Marina of Kazakhstan who also bagged the Best in Talent award, Miss 0033 was Miss Ratchataporn of Thailand, Miss Philippines in Japan was Mariye Annette Roa, Miss Thailand in Japan was Yuwaret, Miss Nepal in Japan was Rosy, Miss Vote was Tanatip of Thailand, Miss Vote runner-up was Lalita of Thailand and Best in Traditional Dress was Maki Sato of the Philippines.

Guest performances include Farasha Bellydance, Kids Show from Indian International School, YOSAKOI Dance and Philippine Folk Dance.

Also, three lucky winners from the audience won plane tickets and mini-components. Thai and Indian foods were served. This event was sponsored by 0033 NTT Communications Agency, Life Support Co. Ltd., ThaiNews and others.
